If your server responds faster to GoogleBot, the GoogleBot would crawl faster through your site, as clarified by John Muller on Twitter. That means the faster we can crawl, the more we can crawl.
But Google should crawl what it can without slowing down your server. It doesn’t mean that Google should slow down its crawl if you don’t want. So, it’s needed for your site to be super fast or should have faster servers or having optimized code to have a super past experience for your end users and Google would chow down more of your content.
